The Power of 650-Microsecond Technology
The Aerolase Neo Elite is an Nd:YAG laser that delivers its energy in pulses lasting 650 millionths of a second. That pulse length is the engineering behind the results. Each pulse is short enough that heat stays locked inside the target, whether that target is a hair follicle, a cluster of pigment, or a visible vessel, and it finishes before the surrounding skin can absorb enough energy to warm. Heat reaches the structure you want treated and skips the tissue you want protected.
This is also why the same device treats every Fitzpatrick skin type, I through VI, safely. Older IPL and diode lasers depend heavily on surface pigment to work, which is precisely what makes them risky on melanin-rich skin: the energy they need to reach the target also lands in the surrounding pigment. Before your session
Protect your skin from sun and skip tanning for at least two weeks before treatment. Arrive with clean, product-free skin in the areas being treated. Tell us about any medications you take, especially antibiotics or acne medications that increase sun sensitivity. For laser hair removal, shave the area the day before your visit; do not wax or pluck.
During treatment
You will feel a warm, quick snap as the handpiece passes over the skin. Most clients find it comfortable enough to skip numbing cream, and protective eyewear is worn throughout. Depending on the size and number of areas treated, a session finishes in 15 to 45 minutes.
Right after treatment
Mild redness in the treated area is normal and typically fades within a few hours. There is no downtime, so clients return to work, errands, and exercise the same day. We finish with a soothing routine and remind you to keep SPF on the treated area.
When results appear
Acne often looks calmer within days of the first session. Pigment concerns and redness fade progressively across a series of treatments. Collagen remodeling builds the most slowly: firmer, smoother skin continues to develop for weeks to months after your sessions, which is why we photograph progress at intervals rather than judging by a single visit.
