What is Botox?

Botox is a neurotoxin derived from Clostridium botulinum, an organism found in the natural environment where it is largely inactive and non-toxic.

Is Botox safe?

Botox is the most popular cosmetic surgery treatment, with more than 6 million Botox treatments administered each year.

How does Botox work?

Botulinum toxin is used to reduce fine lines and wrinkles by relaxing the underlying muscles.

Are there other names for Botox?

Botox is the trade name for the pharmaceutical company Allergan’s form of Botulinum Toxin Type A.

Dysport (Galderma Pharmaceutical) and Xeomin (Merz Pharmaceutical) are other forms of Botulinum Toxin Type A, neuromodulators causing the temporary relaxation of muscles.

All of these products will have similar effects, some taking effect sooner and at times, one product works better for a client than another.

Bobyyas offers all three of these products.

Myobloc is a Botulinum Toxin Type B and is used for other than cosmetic purposes, we do not carry this neurotoxin.

How often should I have Botox treatments?

Most people notice the effects of these treatments “wearing off” after 3 months.
Effects can last longer depending on several physiologic factors.

Platelet rich plasma, which contains key growth factors possesses regenerative and revitalizing properties that stimulate wound healing and collagen production, which is why it is believed to help reduce fine lines and scarring and improve the texture and radiance of the skin.

Did you know injection of PRP has been used in sports medicine for years to stimulate growth of cartilage?

The VI peels generally begin peeling day 3, most dramatically days 4-5.

By day 7, your peeling will be much less noticeable.

Yas will tailor your appointment to suit your needs.

How many peels do I need?

Typically peels are done as a series of 3-4 depending on skin condition and response, ideally spaced one month apart to achieve the best results.

Then 3-4 times a year for maintenance.

Where on my body can chemical peels be applied?

Virtually any part of the body, especially sun-exposed areas such as the face, arms, hands and legs, (even the back for acne) can benefit from peels.

These treatments rid the skin of the top dead layer of cells and the result is smooth, baby-soft skin.

How much is it?

Peels start at $400 depending on the type of the peel.

Yas gives discounts for prepurchased packages (series) and when specials are run by VI Institute, those savings are passed on to you.
